City Council Appointed Advisory Boards

City Council has two Advisory Boards and one Advisory Committee.   Each Advisory Board or Committee are composed of Westlake Village residents, in which City Council approves all appointments.  

Cultural Recreation Advisory Board assists the City in raising the overall level of awareness and importance of Cultural and Recreational activities in the community.   Among other responsibilities, it is designed to encourage greater citizen awareness of Cultural and Recreation activities in the City, Special Events, parks and the operation of recreational facilities and to provide input and recommendations to the City Council on topics and subjects that are assigned to it from time to time.   Youth or Student members may be appointed to this advisory board.

Public Safety Advisory Board assists the City in raising the overall level of awareness and importance of both public safety and emergency preparedness in the community.  Among other responsibilities, it is designed to encourage greater citizen awareness of public safety, promote public safety education and emergency preparedness training, and review and provide input and recommendations to the City Council on public safety topics and subjects that are assigned to it from time to time. 

 Community Service Grant Advisory Committee assists the City with reviewing Grant Applications and make recommendations that provide community and cultural programs to Westlake Village resident. Not-for profit organizations that serve the residents in the greater City of Westlake Village community are eligible to compete for the funding.
