Paving
There are approximately 35 miles of paved streets within the City of Westlake Village or just under 7.7 million square feet of pavement. The replacement value is estimated to be approximately $60 million dollars. The Engineering and Public Works department maintains a Pavement Management System which includes visual observation of all streets on an annual basis, and projecting maintenance and rehabilitation needs for the upcoming five years. The identified street program is included in the City’s Five Year Capital Improvement Program as a part of the adopted budget document.

The recently completed First Neighborhood, Lindero Canyon Road, and Agoura Road overlays were all repaved with rubberized asphalt funded in part by a grant from CalRecycle. The repaving of these streets with rubberized asphalt diverted 25,367 waste tires from California’s landfills.
