Citizen/Disabled Dial-a-Ride
NOTICE TO CURRENT DIAL-A-RIDE USERS REGARDING
CITY OF WESTLAKE VILLAGE SERVICE CHANGES
The City of Westlake Village is now contracting directly with the City of Thousand Oaks for Senior and Disabled Dial-A-Ride Services. Please note that the following changes to the program will take effect September 1, 2011:
• New fare is $2.25 per one-way trip.
• The minimum age requirement for rides on the senior Dial-A-Ride program is changing from 60 years of age to 65 years of age. Current Westlake Village riders under the age of 65 will be permitted to continue to use the service if they register for a Dial-A-Ride card within the next 90 days. The deadline is December 1, 2011. Information on obtaining a free Dial-A-Ride card is attached.
• Disabled Dial-A-Ride users must obtain a free Disabled Dial-A-Ride card from Westlake Village City Hall. Information on obtaining a Disabled Dial-A-Ride card is attached.
• Westlake Village riders will now have expanded Dial-A-Ride service to all areas of Thousand Oaks.
• Limited service into the City of Agoura Hills. Riders are now restricted to medical appointments and work-related trips only.
• New expanded weekend service hours from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
• Free transportation on all Thousand Oaks Transit Buses with Westlake Village Dial-A-Ride card.
