Mayor Mark Rutherford

Mark Rutherford was elected for a four-year term to serve as a member of the Westlake Village City Council in November 1997, and took his oath of office on December 3, 1997. He was subsequently re-elected in November of 2001 to serve a second four-year term, was appointed to a third four-year term in December 2005, a fourth four-year in November, 2009.  Mark was selected in December 2000, December 2004, and November 2009 by the City Council to serve as Mayor.
