The Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments (COG), which includes the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu, and Westlake Village, is in the process of updating its Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The COG will receive public input during this community meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to obtain input and feedback from the public on ways to mitigate the impact of natural disasters and other hazards on the local community. In addition, the results of the Las Virgenes-Malibu Community Risk Survey will be shared during the meeting and used as a basis for discussion to review the top hazards that concern local residents, what mitigation actions they have taken and, most importantly, what additional mitigation efforts are needed to better safeguard the community.
The results of the Public Forum will be used to provide input into the updated Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for the COG.
