Councilmember Brad Halpern
Brad Halpern was elected for a four-year term to serve as a member of the Westlake Village City Council on November 5, 2013, took his oath of office November 20, 2013, was selected to serve as Mayor Pro Tem on November 18, 2015, and was selected to serve as Mayor on November 16, 2016. On November 6, 2018 Brad was re-elected for a four year term. Brad was selected to serve as Mayor Pro Tem on December 2, 2020, and as Mayor on December 1, 2021. Brad received a Bachelors degree from USC. He is an entrepreneurial businessman who created and founded Eggology, Inc. in Canoga Park in 1993 that pioneered the egg white industry. He received the Western Restaurant Association’s “Innovator of the Year” award in 2003, and was the Ernst and Young "Entrepreneur of the Year” finalist in 2004. Brad was named and chronicled as, one of “The 50 People Who Changed the Worldwide Egg Industry” in the 2006 published book “It all began with an egg.” Brad served three consecutive terms as President of the First Neighborhood Property Owners Association, and served on its board for two prior terms. He has served on the Site Council at Agoura High School, and as a member of the Westlake Village Community Services Grant Advisory Committee. Brad grew up in Tarzana, CA; married his wife Robyn in 1993, and they have three children, daughter Joey, and sons Stone and Shane.
