Westlake Village Transit
Fall 2020 update - Service suspended
The City Council has decided to temporarily suspend the Westlake Village transit program for the Fall school semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The City has recently been informed by Durham Transportation, the City’s transit operator, that the precautions to prevent or minimize the transmission of COVID-19 will limit the number of passengers per bus to 12-13, which will require the need to increase the number of buses in the system by at least 50% making it costly for the City to undertake at this time.
The City’s number one priority is always the health and safety
of our residents. The City will continue to monitor and assess the fluidity of
this pandemic and will analyze the ability to operate the transit program prior
to the start of the Spring school semester.
Please check the City’s website at www.wlv.org for further information and status updates or contact Sara Russo, Senior Administrative Analyst at 818-706-1613, if you have any questions. The City looks forward to continuing to work with our community as we emerge from this difficult time.
